BALLON ASSISTED ENDOSCOPIC RETROPERITONEAL GASLESS LUMBAR DISECTOMY WITH FUSION
- PART2-

After exposure is achieved a needle is placed into the operative disc space for radiological confirmation that the correct level has been exposed by both AP and lateral views.

The presacral vessels are mobilized using laparoscopy right angle clamps and divided with laparoscopic scissors between clips. The iliac artery is retracted medially. Electrocautery is used to expose to the anterior surface of the disc.

The disc is then incised using a long standard scalpel. A long disc roungier is used to remove the disc material and the disc space is prepared for implant.

An allograft femoral ring is being prepared and its center packed with autograft cortical bone harvested from the patient's iliac crest.

The femoral ring is placed in the prepared disk space.

A hole is drilled in the superior vertebral body and a plate is attached using crews.
